Go
East!
The East
has put together a strong group of players in its bid to claim
its first Canon Cup since 2000.
Sixteen Rolex
Junior All-Americans, including eight first-teamers are lined
up to play.
This includes
none other than Brian Harman, the Rolex Junior Player of the Year
who has proven difficult to beat at the biggest AJGA tournaments.
Harman defended his title in June at the FootJoy Boys Invitational,
where he holed a 50-foot putt on the 72nd hole to win by one shot.
In addition to his FootJoy title in 2003, Harman won the Thunderbird
International Junior and Polo Golf Junior Classic.
Along with
Harman, Robert Gates Jr., and Jarred Texter return from the 2003
team.
The East girls are a formidable squad, with the likes of 2002
Rolex Junior Player of the Year In-Bee Park, Morgan Pressel and
Julieta Granada in competition.
Park followed
up her top-honor 2002 season with four more AJGA victories in
2003, including a win at the Rolex Tournament of Champions.
In major championship
competition, Pressel won this years Rolex Tournament of
Champions, along with two other AJGA events, while Granada won
the Rolex Girls Junior Championship.
Sukjin-Lee
Wuesthoff proved her match play ability in winning the 2003 U.S.
Girls Junior Championship.
Granada, Wuesthoff,
Brittany Lincicome and Jennifer Pandolfi return from a year ago.
