Forest Oaks, with Love

Redesigned in 2003 by AJGA alum and supporter Davis Love III, Forest Oaks Country Club challenges golfers at all levels. Host of the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro, the par-72 track measures 7,197 yards from the men’s tees.

Love has special memories of Forest Oaks, a place he won at in 1992 with a final-round 62 on the strength of an eagle on No. 15.
Love’s insights as a PGA TOUR veteran helped shape the redesign, as his comments about No. 10, pictured above, reveal.

"A solid par 4 to start the back nine. A good drive that avoids the two fairway bunkers on the right leaves a medium to short-iron second shot into a slightly uphill green flanked left and right by bunkers. Any approach that is hit short or with too much spin may wind up back in the fairway due to a false front that stretches across the entire green."
