'The Greatest Night in Junior Golf'
The Rolex Junior All-America Banquet is an opportunity to honor the top players in junior golf. Matt Savage, the 2004 Jerry Cole Sportsmanship Award winner, is shown here.
Held the night before the first round of stroke play competition, the banquet is an all-out affair. No detail is left untouched as the AJGA and Rolex come together to honor junior golf's best.
Several courses of dinner are served, speeches delivered and awards given. The main purpose of the evening is to honor the best junior golfers of the 2005 season with the Rolex Junior All-America Teams and the HP Scholastic Junior All-America Team. Additionally, the recepient of the Jerry Cole Sportsmanship Award will be announced at the banquet.
BANQUET INFORMATION
WHEN: 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20 (Photos will be taken of those receiving year-end honors prior to the banquet). The banquet will follow as doors will open at 5:45 p.m. in order to begin promptly at 6 p.m.
WHERE: Jekyll Island Convention Center - Atlantic Hall
ATTIRE: Proper attire includes coat and tie for men and dresses for ladies.
TRANSPORTATION: Due to the banquet being held at the Jekyll Island Convention Center, the AJGA will be providing transportation to Jekyll Island from the host hotel, Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort Conference Center. Buses will leave the Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort NO LATER than 4:15 p.m.
