A LETTER FROM THE HONORARY CHAIRMAN

Former AJGA junior David Toms is the 2006 Honorary Chairman for the FootJoy Boys Invitational. With 12 wins on the PGA TOUR, Toms is not letting up and is showing the top juniors what they can achieve.

June 12, 2006

Welcome to Forest Oaks Country Club as we get ready for the 2006 FootJoy Boys Invitational. Over the years, this event has become a can’t-miss stop on the AJGA schedule. Not only does it bring together one of the strongest fields in all of junior golf, but it is played at a top-notch PGA TOUR venue.

Forest Oaks is host to one of the PGA TOUR’s longest-running events – the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro. Perhaps you will be back in a few years to play the course as a member of the TOUR. Experiences such as this will help prepare you for that day.

I urge you to enjoy all your experiences as a junior golfer. You are part of a wonderful organization that is committed to junior golf. And be sure to thank all those who made this week possible – the folks at FootJoy, Forest Oaks members, tournament committee, volunteers, your parents and AJGA staff. They have all worked hard to provide this opportunity for you.

Play well and, above all, enjoy the experience!

All the best,

David Toms
