Sea Island's Seaside Course is quite a view when taken in from it's sister course, Plantation. |
Seaside Course
With its ancient oaks and cedars, along with the views of the salt march, sand dunes and St. Simon's Sound, Sea Island's Seaside Course couples a challenging golf course with the beauty of its natural surroundings.
Stretching to 6,945 from the championship tees, the elevated tee boxes offer a majestic view of the surroundings.
No stranger to tough competition, the course played host along with the Plantation Course as the site of the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship in 2004. It also hosted the U.S. Women's Senior Amateur Championship earlier in 2006.

Plantation Course
Liberal sight lines between holes create a parkland feel with breathtaking ocean views, ancient live oaks, lakes and flower-filled landscapes set up against an artful canvas of fairways, bunkers and greens.
Its "grandfather" was the Plantation Nine, which set the course for Sea Island's reputation for fine golfing. Rees Jones, during his 1998 redesign, combined the former Plantation Nine with the Retreat Nine to form what we know now as the Plantation Course.
Along with its sister course, the Seaside Course, the Plantation also hosted the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship in 2004.
