Rak Cho of Brea, Calif., and T.J. Vogel of Cooper City, Fla., broke out of the pack with late surges, claiming the lead by two strokes over their nearest competitors.

Vogel had the shot of the day, recording a hole-in-one at the 185-yard 16th hole with an 8-iron. Combined with his birdie at 15, Vogel went from an even-par round through 14 to 3-under on the day and 5-under for the tournament after rounds of 68-67.

Cho had an eagle of his own at the 520-yard, par-5 15th, quickly turning an even-par round into a 2-under-par day, joining Vogel at 5-under-par with rounds of 67-68.

First-round co-leader Cameron Peck of Olympia, Wash., is alone in third at 3-under-par following rounds of 66-71. Jordan Spieth of Dallas and Tommy Chung Hao Mou of Bradenton, Fla., are tied for fourth at 2-under-par. Daily Results
