Welcome to the 2008 AJGA FootJoy Invitational here at Sedgefield Country Club. This is a tremendous event, attracting the top 99 junior players from around the world! It is a phenomenal opportunity to showcase such incredible talent and the people of
Sedgefield Country Club are proud to be the host of such a prestigious tournament.
This course is steeped in history. A Donald Ross design, Sedgefield Country Club was the original home to the Greater Greensboro Open where legends such as Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player once competed. The club is thrilled to host another PGA TOUR event after a 31-year absence with the Wyndham
Championship coming to Sedgefield August 11-17.
The AJGA is a great organization - its commitment to junior golf is unparalleled - and its partnership with FootJoy ensures you will be competing in these events wearing the #1 Shoe in Golf (as I do every week).
Have a great time, play well and enjoy the experience.
All the best,
Zach Johnson |
