The second hole on Carmel Country Club's South Course is a downhill par-3 that features a sloped putting surface and three sand traps surrounding the green.

Carmel Country Club –
South Course

The classic warmth of Carmel, symbolized by the lamppost-lined drive, is always apparent, drawing in new faces and telling the story of its past.

In the more than 50 years since Carmel opened, it has grown to become the foremost family club in Charlotte offering the finest in amenities and activities. Carmel has earned recognition as a Platinum Club of America, a Five Star Private Club and was named the No. 13 private club in America by Club Leaders Forum.

The South Course, where the tournament will be held, was designed by Ellis Maples and opened in 1969. In 1988, Rees Jones made revisions to the South Course, which is well bunkered and features narrow fairways. In 2006, many of this week’s competitors had an opportunity to try out the course while participating in the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship.
