The lead traded hands between Patrick Rodgers and Bobby Wyatt throughout the back nine Saturday, so it is fitting that they will begin Sunday's final round tied for the lead at The Junior PLAYERS Championship.
With a birdie on No. 13, Rodgers moved to 7-under-par and built a two-shot lead. Bogeys on Nos. 14 and 16 derailed an otherwise stellar round of 4-under-par 68, which was the best score of the day.
After an opening-round 66, Wyatt posted a quiet 73 in breezy conditions, but it was enough to keep him atop the leaderboard at 5-under-par. Oliver Schniederjans and Franco Castro are tied for third at 3-under-par, while Yaroslav Merkulov is in fifth at 2-under-par.
Wyndham Clark made the biggest move of the day, as his second-round 68 moved him from 54th into a tie for 15th at 3-over-par.

The second round at The Junior PLAYERS Championship is under way, and Bobby Wyatt of Mobile, Ala., is trying to make it a one horse race. A birdie on the par-5 second hole has moved him to 7-under-par, five shots clear of the field.
His nearest competitor is Chien Yao Hung of Taipai, Taiwan, who charged out of the gate with three birdies. His 3-under-par start has moved him 20 spots up the leaderboard and into second place at 2-under-par.
A host of players remain tied for third, including Joey Garber of Petoskey, Mich., who was added to the field as an alternate just two days prior to the event.
