Understand Your Mental Game with the Mental Golf Workshop Profile

The Mental Game.

Everyone knows how important it is, but perhaps more than anything, this is the most difficult part of the game to conquer.

That is why the AJGA is excited to offer the Mental Golf Workshop Profile to all visitors to ajga.org, including members and non-members, juniors and adults.

The Profile is used and endorsed by the Titleist Performance Institute, as well as multiple Tour players, coaches and instructors.

In a nutshell, the service asks a short series of questions that help determine a player’s attitude and behaviors. From these questions, a report is provided on what a golfer’s personality and tendencies are.

The Profile goes a step further to help a golfer identify how to use these tendencies to gain a mental advantage.

“This certainly makes you think about your game and what your priorities should be, said Brad Faxon, PGA TOUR veteran. “The profile helps you understand how to improve your mental game.”

Others who have used and endorsed the profile include: Jonathan Byrd – the 2002 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year; Puggy Blackmon, South Carolina men’s golf coach; and Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott, a pair of Top 50 golf instructors who authored the book "Golf Parent for the Future."

Titleist Performance Institute co-founder Dr. Greg Rose said, “The beauty of this system is that our players get an accurate and comprehensive report without having to spend hours completing laborious questions. You sure get a lot for the time and money you invest in this process.”

The cost of the Profile is $85. More information, as well as the ability to take the Profile, is available through this link.

It is the AJGA’s hope that this Profile will benefit all golfers in their quest for ever-lower scores.
