WELLSTONE COMMUNITIES TO SPONSOR AJGA EVENT IN DALLAS AREA
Wellstone Communities Junior Championship to be held April 13-15, 2007

Wellstone Communities, a real estate development company based in Dallas, will sponsor the Wellstone Communities Junior Championship to be held April 13-15, 2007, the American Junior Golf Association announced Tuesday. The event will be held at the TPC at Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas.

The 2007 edition of the event will be the second time the AJGA has hosted the event at the TPC at Craig Ranch. The 2006 event attracted one of the top fields for an AJGA Open Event with 2005 Rolex Junior Player of the Year Peter Uihlein taking the Boys Division title. The recently named 2006 Rolex Junior Player of the Year Philip Francis finished one shot back, while the Girls Division also featured top-ranked players.

The 72-player, 54-hole event will feature the nation’s top junior boys and girls, ages 12-18. The first and second rounds of the event will be held Saturday, April 14, while the final round will be staged on Sunday, April 15.

“We are pleased and excited to be able to participate with the AJGA in presenting the Wellstone Communities Junior Championship,” said Rusty Criminger, chief marketing officer of Wellstone Communities. “We believe in the value of providing a national platform for the development of junior golf throughout the country, and we are especially pleased to be able to be involved in the Dallas area. Sponsorship of this event is consistent with our corporate goals and dovetails well with our other major sponsorship in the Dallas area, The Wellstone Dallas White Rock Marathon.”

Wellstone Communities is one of the nation’s premier real estate developers dedicated to building homes and communities promoting wellness and active lifestyles, with current residential developments in Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

“The AJGA is very excited about establishing a relationship with a first-class company such as Wellstone Communities,” said Jason Etzen, AJGA executive vice president of corporate partnerships. “This spring event is very important to our membership and we look forward to taking it to the next level with the support of Wellstone Communities.”
