FootJoy Renews Contract, Continues its Support of the AJGA
FootJoy Live Scoring to add new video feature

FootJoy, one of the brands that make up the Acushnet Company, has extended its commitment to the American Junior Golf Association for another five years, through 2013, the AJGA announced.

FootJoy, an Official Partner of the AJGA since 2004, will continue its sponsorship of the FootJoy Invitational and FootJoy Live Scoring. FootJoy Live Scoring will be enhanced in 2008 with the addition of video blogs, recaps and features at each AJGA Invitational. The video blogs will give web surfers an up-close view of the tournament, from behind the scenes and on the golf course. The Houston Boys Invitational at Redstone presented by HP and Administaff, held Feb. 15-18, was the first tournament to take advantage of the enhancement.

The seventh-annual FootJoy Invitational will be held June 9-13 in Greensboro, N.C., at Sedgefield Country Club with the top-99 boys seeking the coveted title. This event annually attracts the top boys from around the country and four of the six past champions have gone on to garner Rolex Junior Player of the Year honors in the same year.

FootJoy, the “Official Footwear of the AJGA,” also outfits the AJGA staff with footwear and weather gear.

“FootJoy fully endorses the American Junior Golf Association’s mission and purpose,” said Andy Jones, FootJoy’s vice president of marketing and apparel. “By aligning FootJoy with the world’s best junior golfers, we are exposing our product to not only the future of the game, but also to the future leaders of the golf industry.”

FootJoy is committed to enhancing the consumer’s on-course experience through the development of superior golf shoes, gloves, outerwear, socks and accessories. Its products exceed expectations in all weather and playing conditions through advanced technical innovation, performance, and supreme comfort.

“FootJoy and the Acushnet Company have been instrumental in the success of our organization,” said Jason Etzen, AJGA executive vice president of corporate partnerships. “We look forward to the enhancements we will be able to make thanks to their continued support of FootJoy Live Scoring.”
