New Faces Atop the Polo Golf Rankings

New Faces Atop the Polo Golf Rankings
Whitsett, Kim No. 1 in their respective divisions

If you’ve taken a look at the Polo Golf Rankings recently, you will notice two new faces in the number one spots.

Kimberly Kim now tops the Girls Division Polo Golf Rankings

Cory Whitsett of Houston, will take a No. 1 ranking into next week’s Houston Boys Invitational at Redstone presented by HP and Administaff. The former No. 1, Bud Cauley of Jacksonville, Fla., has dropped to No. 5 in this week’s Polo Golf Rankings after his sixth-place finish at the 2007 Verizon Junior Heritage dropped from his 52-week point cycle.

Rounding out the rest of the top 5 in the Boys Division are No. 2 Peter Uihlein of Bradenton, Fla., No. 3 Wesley Graham of Port Orange, Fla., and No. 4 Sean Dale, also of Jacksonville.

In the Girls Divison, Kimberly Kim of Pahoa, Hawaii, officially took over the top spot when Vicky Hurst of Melbourne, Fla., exited the Polo Golf Rankings. Hurst’s move to the professional ranks allows Kim to start the season at No. 1.

California and Hawaii are well represented in the top five of the Girls Division Polo Golf Rankings. Coming in at No. 2 is Kristen Park of Buena Park, Calif. Stephanie Kono and Ayaka Kaneko, both of Honolulu, hold the No. 3 and 4 spots, respectively. Jane Rah of Torrance, Calif., holds on to the No. 5 position.

As the 2008 junior golf season kicks off, the Polo Golf Rankings will quickly be updated. Be sure to check back often for updates.
