My Scotty Cameron Moment

My Scotty Cameron Moment

Each week, the AJGA honors the boy and girl junior golfers who shoot the lowest round during the final tournament round. Each of these players will be presented with one of this year's new Scotty Cameron putter covers in silver or gold. In this feature, we will hear from the players each week who take home this honor and what helped them get there.

"I felt good early when I made birdie on No. 3." said Jessica Wallace, who shot a final-round 67 to win the tournament. "My short game was good all week. I didn’t miss many up-and-downs. My game feels really good right now. I’m just going to try and keep it going and get ready for my next tournament.

"My ball striking was solid all week, but my putting is what really made the difference," said Hyun Seok Lim, who shot a final-round 67 to win the tournament. "I talked to my coach last night and we talked about speed. Today, my speed was perfect."

I played pretty good today and didn’t have to make many tough putts. But shooting 30 on nine holes is never a bad thing, said Peter Uihlein, who's 67 propelled him up 25 places on the final day. "On No. 11, I hit a 4-iron to No. 11 to about two feet for an easy eagle. Shots like that made it easy to enjoy my final round as a junior."

Leadership Links

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age.
