Emerson, AJGA Team Up to Bring Event to Southern California
Emerson Junior Golf Classic to be held Aug. 4-7

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, will sponsor an American Junior Golf Association event, the AJGA announced Friday.

The event – known as the Emerson Junior Golf Classic – will be held at the Carlton Oaks Country Club in Santee, Calif., Aug. 4-7.  The 99-player, 54-hole tournament will feature the nation’s top junior boys and girls, aged 12-18.  A Junior-Am Fundraising Tournament, similar to the PGA TOUR’s Pro-Am, will be held Monday, Aug. 4 at 8 a.m.  The first round will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 5, with the second and final rounds being held on Wednesday, Aug. 6 and Thursday, Aug. 7, respectively.

We share the AJGA’s ideals of supporting the development of young talent, and believe that competitive events such as this help foster skills which will prove invaluable to students seeking college or university placement, and later, employment.”
