The third year for the AJGA-USGA
Leadership Links program saw its most exciting and prosperous year to date.
Leadership Links saw a record breaking 188 participants, including 98 juniors
in the fundraising portion who generated over $104,000. An additional
$22,747.50 was matched from the USGA for those raising money for junior golf
charities. Juniors participating in the volunteerism portion of Leadership
Links logged over 2,000 volunteer hours.
The 2012
program will launch again in January with new and exciting changes. You
will see a new redesigned web site and new and improved personalized web pages
for those who are raising money for charities.
The Leadership Links program is also partnering with The Nicklaus Childrens Healthcare Foundation and CureSearch for Childrens Cancer. Our juniors will be able to raise funds for a particular child suffering from the effects of cancer. We are asking our members to join forces with the AJGA to help battle this disease. More information will be available in January on this new and exciting program.
