BRASELTON, Ga. — The American Junior Golf Association along with the San Diego County Junior Golf Association will host an informative seminar on junior golf at the Golf Academy of America's San Diego Campus on Saturday, June 19, beginning at 1 p.m. The purpose of the seminar will be to help parents and players navigate the world of competitive local and national junior golf. Representatives from the AJGA and the SDJGA will present information about opportunities for young junior golfers. In addition, incoming USC freshman Rachel Morris, her father Thomas Morris, and former UCLA player and USC men’s head coach Ted Gleason will provide their perspective on junior golf and the college recruiting process. The goal of the seminar is to provide junior golfers of all levels with perspectives from local and national junior golf organizations, as well as a player and parent who have successfully navigated the road to college golf, and a former player and coach who has seen the process on both sides. Local, regional, state and national golf tournaments will be discussed with a focus on achieving a college golf scholarship. Also included in discussion will be learning how to get started with each organization as well as the competitive expectations in junior golf today.

The Golf Academy of America's San Diego Campus is located at 1950 Camino Vida Roble, Suite 125, Carlsbad, CA 92008. For more information or if you plan on attending, please contact Larry Berroya, AJGA West Regional Director, at lberroya@ajga.org
