Kevin Stadler earned his first PGA TOUR title at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, closing with a 3-under-par 68 to win by one. He finished the tournament at 16-under-par 268.

Stadler competed in the AJGA from 1995-98, tallying 10 top-10 finishes. His best Invitational showing came at the 1997 AJGA Boys Junior Champions (present-day CB&I Boys Championship at Carlton Woods) where he finished sixth. He went on to compete for the USC Trojans where he recorded four top 10s in his final season.

Austin Connelly of Irving, Texas, finished runner-up at the Jones Cup Invitational, after a one-hole playoff against eventual champion Corey Conners, a senior at Kent State. Connelly carded rounds of 72-74-72 to tie Conners at 2-over-par 218.

At No. 4 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Connelly claimed his third AJGA victory at the 2013 Under Armour® / Hunter Mahan Championship. His 2013 campaign included a T3 finish at the FJ Invitational and T2 finishes at The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf and the Thunderbird International Junior. The Southern Methodist University verbal commit opened the 2014 season with a quarterfinals appearance at the Polo Golf Junior Classic.

Other notables at the Jones Cup Invitational include the top-three AJGA boys: Brad Dalke (No. 2), Austen Truslow (No. 3) and No. 1-ranked Scott Scheffler, who was in contention after 36 holes.
