During a rare return to golf at the Concession Cup, Trip Kuehne, a member of the inaugural Wyndham Cup, reflected on the 25th anniversary of the Wyndham Cup .

“I remember Tiger Woods was my partner and we kicked Stewart Cink’s butt,” Kuehne said. “He was so mad he was close to tears.”

Cink’s East squad went on to win the first Wyndham Cup (then known as Canon Cup), 32-18. A year before the inaugural Cup, Cink defeated Kuehne, 3 and 2, to win the 1989 Polo Golf Junior Classic.

J.B. Holmes won for the first time since 2008 at the Wells Fargo Championship , posting a 14-under-par 274 for a one-shot victory over Jim Furyk.

Before attending the University of Kentucky, Holmes competed in five AJGA events from 1998-2000. He made appearances in staple events like the CB&I Boys Championship in 2000 and the Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior in 1998 and 1999, with his career-best performance coming at Bellefonte Country Club in 1999 when he tied for fourth.

AJGA alumna and tournament host Stacy Lewis won the North Texas LPGA Shootout by seven shots , finishing at 16-under-par 268. The victory marks her ninth career LPGA Tour win and first since the Women’s British Open in August 2013.
Lewis played in eight AJGA tournaments during the 2001 and 2002 seasons. Her junior career was highlighted by a T4 finish at the 2002 Aaron’s / Bob Estes Abilene Junior and a seventh-place finish at the 2002 Junior All-Star at Colonial.
The most decorated women’s golfer in the University of Arkansas history, her collegiate career concluded as a four-time All-SEC and four-time All-American selection. Lewis was a two-time SEC champion, as a freshman in 2005 and as a senior in 2008. As a junior, she won the 2007 NCAA individual title and was presented the Dinah Shore Trophy.

Blayne Barber finished at 15-under-par 273 to win his first Web.com Tour Title at the South Georgia Classic. Barber topped a leaderboard which included five AJGA alumni in the top 10.
 
Barber competed in seven events as an AJGA junior. His career was highlighted by a victory at the 2007 Birks & Mayors Junior Championship at Mirasol and a T12 finish at the 2008 FJ Invitational. He signed with Central Florida before transferring to Auburn his sophomore season, where he was named a First-Team All-American and represented the United States at the 2011 Walker Cup and Palmer Cup.
