Valero Junior Texas Open

Garett Reband of Cleburne, Texas, shot a final-round even-par 72 to win the Valero Junior Texas Open with an even-par 216. Reband, a University of Oklahoma verbal commit, was consistent throughout the tournament, carding 16 pars and one birdie in the final round to claim the Boys Division. This win is the first of Reband’s AJGA career.

In the Girls Division, Chaithra Katamneni of Coppell, Texas, claimed her first AJGA title after shooting a 9-over-par 225 on the AT&T Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio. The 18-year-old made three final-round birdies for a 2-over-par 74 and the four-stroke victory over Kennedy Swann of Austin, Texas. Katamneni will attend the University of Nevada, Reno, in the fall.

E-Z-GO Vaughn Taylor Championship presented by PotashCorp

Jake Milanowski of Peachtree City, Georgia, finished at 2-under-par 214 and won the E-Z-GO Vaughn Taylor Championship presented by PotashCorp. After finishing T3 in last year’s event, the Auburn University verbal commit recorded three birdies in the final round to force a playoff with Colin Bowles of Clear Fork, West Virginia. Milanowski sank a three-foot putt on No. 18 to secure his first AJGA victory.

In the Girls Division, Natalie Srinivasan of Spartanburg, South Carolina, won after shooting a tournament total 4-over-par 220 at Jones Creek Golf Club. A Furman University verbal commit, Srinivasan has tallied seven top-10 AJGA performances, including a runner-up finish at last year’s event. The 17-year-old carded seven birdies throughout the tournament to clinch her first AJGA Open victory.

AJGA Huntsville Junior

Harrison Ott of Brookfield, Wisconsin, carded a final-round 2-under-par 69 to notch his fourth AJGA victory at the AJGA Huntsville Junior. Ott, who is verbally committed to Vanderbilt University, carded three birdies on a bogey-free back nine en route to a tournament total 1-under-par 212.

In the Girls Division, Rachel Heck of Memphis, Tennessee, earned her first AJGA title at The Ledges after a tournament-total 2-over-par 215. After finishing seventh at the 2014 AJGA Huntsville Junior, the rising eighth-grader birdied Nos. 15 and 16 in the final round to top the leaderboard. Heck’s older sister, Abigail, placed second with a 5-over-par 218.

Midwest Junior Players Championship

Ryan Gerard of Raleigh, North Carolina, shot a 9-under-par 207 to earn his first AJGA victory at the Midwest Junior Players Championship. The UNC-Chapel Hill verbal commit fired rounds of 67, 71 and 69 with 18 birdies, going wire-to-wire to win the Boys Division by four strokes and tally his sixth top-15 AJGA finish.

Bing Singhsumalee of Naperville, Illinois, claimed the Girls Division title after shooting a 5-over-par 221 at Mistwood Golf Club. Singhsumalee, who has signed a National Letter of Intent with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, finished the tournament with six birdies for the second victory of her AJGA career.

AJGA Junior at Talbot supported by the Frana Family

Kyle Vance of Audubon, Pennsylvania, won his first AJGA championship at Talbot Country Club with a 9-under-par 207. After starting the tournament with rounds of 68 and 67, the 16-year-old trailed by a single stroke. Vance finished with an even-par 72 in the final round and 15 total birdies to top the leaderboard.

In the Girls Division, Shannon Brooks of Vienna, Virginia, won the AJGA Junior at Talbot supported by The Frana Family by seven strokes at 9-under-par 207. A Rolex Junior All-American, Brooks claimed her fifth AJGA championship with 14 birdies throughout the tournament. Brooks will attend the University of Tennessee this fall.

Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior at Serrano

Eddy Lai of San Jose, California, shot a 6-under-par 210 to win the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior at Serrano. The 16-year-old carded a 3-under-par 69 in the final round to claim his second AJGA championship by one stroke. Lai also took home champions honors at the 2014 AJGA Junior at Mayacama.

In the Girls Division, Emilee Hoffman of Folsom, California, won after shooting 2-under-par 214 at Serrano Country Club. With three final-round birdies and a 3-under-par 69, the University of Texas verbal commit secured her third AJGA victory in three seasons.
