The American Junior Golf Association will once again offer PBE status to top finishers in USGA sectional qualifying for the 2013 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship , which will be contested July 22-27.
Sectional qualifying at numerous sites across the country will be held June 10 through July 2 for the Junior Amateur and Ju ne 14 through July 2 for the Girls’ Junior.
PBE Status
U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifiers – fewer than 40 participants
· Medalist(s) will earn 4 Performance Stars
· Top 20% will earn 1 Performance Star
U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifiers – 40 or more participants
· Medalist(s) will earn 4 Performance Stars
· Top 20% will earn 2 Performance Stars
· Top 50% will earn 1 Performance Star
U.S. Girls’ Junior Qualifiers – fewer than 30 participants
· Medalist(s) will earn 4 Performance Stars
· Top 20% will earn 1 Performance Star
U.S. Girls’ Junior Qualifiers – 30 or more participants
· Medalist(s) will earn 4 Performance Stars
· Top 20% will earn 2 Performance Stars
· Top 50% will earn 1 Performance Star
Both championships are open to amateur golfers who will not have reached their 18th birthday on or before July 27, 2013. Applicants must also meet USGA Handicap Index® requirements, which are listed on the entry form. Entries for both championships close on Wed., May 29 at 5 p.m. EDT.
All entries ($25), which must be completed by a parent and/or guardian, must be filed online.
