Weekend wrap-up (July 8)

Coastal Carolina rising junior Andrew Dorn of West Chester, Ohio, won the 113th North and South Amateur Championship Saturday at Pinehurst No. 2 in Pinehurst, N.C. Dorn had four victories in match play and claimed the title with a 1-up win over Zachary Bauchou.

Dorn earned seven top-15 AJGA finishes in his four-year AJGA career, including a personal-best third-place finish at the 2010 Bridgestone Golf / Brandt Snedeker Music City Junior presented by Toyota.

Dorn was named to the 2011-12 Big South Presidential Honor Roll for posting at least a 3.0 for the academic year. In his sophomore year, Dorn was named All-Big South and earned a spot on the Big South All-Championship Team after finishing T4 at the 2013 Big South Championship. He posted three top-five finishes and finished the season ranked second on the team in scoring average with 73.87.

Andrew Yun of Chandler, Ariz., won the Sahalee Players Championship after coming from behind to shoot a final-round 2-over-par 74 for a total of 1-under-par 287, finishing as the only player under par for 72 holes.

A five-time Rolex Junior All-American, Yun earned 13 top-three AJGA finishes in his six-year AJGA career, including four victories. His career was highlighted by two Invitational wins in 2006: The FJ Invitational and The PING Invitational.

While attending Stanford University, Yun was a PING First-Team All-American and First-Team All-Pac-12 and led the team in stroke average in his sophomore year. In the 2011-12 season, he was an All-Pac 12 First-Team and Second-Team All-American. During his collegiate career, Yun posted 13 top-10 finishes and two wins, including a victory at the 2012 Pac-12 Championship. In his senior season, Yun was named the 2013 Pac-12 Scholar Athlete of the Year.
