Pumpkin Ridge to host AJGA Invitational in 2014

The AJGA is pleased to announce the Junior All-Star Invitational sponsored by NIKEGOLF will return to the Portland area when the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club – Ghost Creek Course hosts the AJGA’s only Invitational tournament in the Pacific Northwest, October 10-13.
 
 
Located 15 miles from NIKE headquarters, Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club welcomes 72 of the best junior golfers in the world for a 54-hole stroke play tournament. Past participants in the Junior All-Star Invitational sponsored by NIKEGOLF include top-ranked PGA TOUR player Jordan Spieth, LPGA Tour world No. 1 Inbee Park and NIKEGOLF athlete and European Tour Volvik RACV Ladies Masters 2014 champion Cheyenne Woods.
 
Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club has a rich history of hosting prestigious events. The 1996 U.S. Amateur Championship was the first in a long line of events that have brought attention to the 22 year old club. Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club has hosted several U.S. Junior Amateur Championships, a U.S. Women’s Open and the 2009-2012 LPGA Tour Safeway Classic. Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club will also host the 2014 Web.com Tour WinCo Foods Portland Open presented by Kraft.

ACE

The Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program provides financial assistance to junior golfers who wish to play in AJGA events. Its goal is to give top-flight golf opportunities to young golfers regardless of financial resources. This program helps to fulfill the AJGA’s mission of developing young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
