It is quite an honor to be recognized as one of GOLF Magazines Top 100 Teachers in America, Gilchrist said in a press release from the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy. My students and our coaching staff have played a big role in where I am today, helping to shape not only the Academy, but me as a teacher as well. We have all worked very hard, and this honor proves that were continuing to be successful.
With a career that spans 20 years, Gilchrist has coached more than 75 Rolex Junior All-Americans and six Rolex Junior Players of the Year. He currently coaches Morgan Hoffman, Peter Hanson and Vicky Hurst, as well as Yani Tseng and Shanshan Feng, the Nos. 1 and 6 ranked females in the world respectively.
At the Junior All-Star Invitational in October, Gilchrist hosted a junior clinic for the field where he addressed the mental aspects of golf, shared his personal journey with the game and demonstrated practice techniques.
