Winners crowned in first week of summer

AJGA Preview at Dauphin Highlands   

  • In the final Golf Performance Center Preview Series event of the year, Isaac Wood of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, and Kevin Scherr of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, co-medaled the Boys Division with tournament totals of 2-under-par 142. Scherr carded six birdies in the final round to put him in contention for the lead.
  • Nina Kouchi of New Hope, Pennsylvania, medaled in the Girls Division after carding a tournament total of 4-over-par 148.

Davis Love III Junior Open

  • In his first AJGA event of the year, Daulet Tuleubayev of Almaty, Kazakhstan, won the Qualifier and Championship in the Boys Division at Davis Love III Junior Open, in Brunswick, Georgia. He carded a final-round score of 6-under-par 64, and tournament total of 10-under-par 200.
  • First- and second-round leader Carly Burkhardt secured the championship in the Girls Division after carding a bogey-free final round for a 2-under-par 68 and tournament total of 1-under-par.

Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All-Star

  • Nicolas Cassidy of Johns Creek, Georgia, won the Boys Division after setting a new tournament record of 14-under-par 199. Cassidy carded two eagles on Nos. 15 and 18 posting a final-round score of 9-under-par 62.
  • Second-round leader Amanda Sambach of Davidson, North Carolina, won the Girls Division after carding a final-round score of 4-over-par 75 and three-day total of 223.

  • Connor Howe of Ogden, Utah, won his first AJGA event in the Boys Division after a final-round 2-under-par 70 and tournament total of 10-under-par 206.
  • The Girls Division was won in dramatic fashion. Clare Amelia Legaspi of Santa Clarita, California, eagled No. 18 in the final round to win by one stroke and finish the day at 4-under-par 68. Legaspi led throughout the tournament and finished with a tournament total of 7-under-par 209.

Under Armour® / Gary Woodland Championship

 

  • In his first 2016 AJGA event, Wells Padgett of Wichita, Kansas, won the Boys division after carding a tournament total 74-68-74–216. Padgett led going into the final round after carding six birdies in the second round for a 4-under-par 68.
  • After qualifying for the tournament on Sunday, Harmie Constantino of Taguig, Philippines, won the Girls Division carding eight birdies for the week, and tournament total 4-over-par 220.

Ryan Moore Junior Championship at Anthem

  • In his second AJGA event, Jack Trent of Las Vegas won the Boys Division carding 12 birdies and an eagle throughout his three rounds posting a tournament total of 6-under-par 210.  
  • Sabrina Iqbal of San Jose, California, won the Girls Division, marking her second AJGA victory. Iqbal carded three birdies in the final round for even-par 72 and tournament total 3-under-par 213.
