Agustina Zeballos, of Buenos Aries, Argentina, and Wilson Furr, of Jackson, Mississippi, both broke the deadlock at the top of the field by posting the lowest rounds in their respective division on Saturday. The two will both tee off in the final groups of the Boys and Girls Division today.
The 2014 Thunderbird International Junior champion, Andy Zhang, of Winter Garden, Florida, crept into the picture on Saturday with a second round score of 6-under-par 66. Zhang plays this course very well and has the potential to pull off a win tomorrow. In 2014, Zhang finished 9-under-par 63 on his way to the win.
- If Zeballos hoists the champion's trophy she will be the first player from South America to win the Thunderbird International Junior in its 17-year history.
