Thursday is the third round of the Haas Family Invitational at Sedgefield Country Club's Donald Ross Course in Greensboro, North Carolina. Here are Three Things to know.
Tough to Tame
The Donald Ross design continued to prove why it's one of the toughest courses on the PGA TOUR and AJGA circuit. Only eight under-par rounds were carded during the second round and the field scoring average was over 73 on the par-70 course. The most difficult hole continued to be No. 18, which is often regarded as a top-five finishing hole on the PGA TOUR.
Straight Aces
Karl Vilips carded his fourth career hole-in-one on the 181-yard 7th. The hole-in-one propelled Vilips into second place behind leader Eugene Hong. During the third round the hole location on the par-3 16th will be in a natural low area on the green and could produce some fireworks.
Survival of the Fittest
Thursday is cut day at the Haas Family Invitational. After the round the field will be cut to the top 60 players and all ties. Last year, the cut line fell at 18-over-par 228. Stay tuned to TaylorMade-adidas Golf Live Scoring for updates and cut line information.
