Schmelzel leads wire-to-wire
Sarah Schmelzel of Phoenix, Ariz., claimed her first AJGA victory after firing a tournament total 6-under-par 210.
Ortiz claims first AJGA Championship
Alvaro Ortiz of Zapopan, Mexico, claimed his first AJGA Championship after firing a final round score of 3-under-par 69, for a tournament total of 8-under-par 208.
Jelley and Larkin tied heading into final round
Brendon Jelley (above) and Wyatt Larkin are tied with tournament total 6-under-par 138. On Thursday, both will look to claim their first AJGA Championship.

Sarah Schmelzel of Phoenix, Ariz., maintained her position at the top of the Girls Division, she leads with a tournament total 4-under-par 140.

Chad Carlson and Justin Jennings earned medalist honors in the Boys Division while Xiao Jiayi paced the Girls Division.

ACE

The Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program provides financial assistance to junior golfers who wish to play in AJGA events. Its goal is to give top-flight golf opportunities to young golfers regardless of financial resources. This program helps to fulfill the AJGA’s mission of developing young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
