Berman, Han earn medalist honors at TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier
Eight boys, 1 girl advance to play in the Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior

ASHLAND, Ky.- Cole Berman of Rosemont, Pa., recorded an even-par 70 and claimed medalist honors Monday at the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier for the Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior. In the Girls Division, Yesong Han of Chandler, Ariz., medaled after shooting a 1-over-par 71 at Bellefonte Country Club.

Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier for the Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior was an 18-hole stroke play event held at Bellefonte Country Club. The tournament field featured 83 boys and 16 girls, ages 12-18. The Boys Division played the par-70 course at 6,014 yards, while the Girls Division played the course at 5,618 yards.

TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifiers give juniors an opportunity to "play their way in" to coinciding AJGA Open tournaments or earn Performance Stars for a future event. The TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier Series offers opportunities for AJGA juniors at approximately 50 AJGA Open events.

Also qualifying in the Boys Division were Jimmy-Kev Clements of Prospect, Ky., Evan Smith of Bluefield, W.Va., Nick Sparling of Dublin, Ohio, Paxton Duff of Louisville, Ky., and Trueman Park of Chandler, Ariz. John Augenstein of Owensboro, Ky. and Alan Cooke of Vienna, W. Va., qualified for the tournament via sudden-death playoff.

In the Girls Division, it was Olivia Cason of Owensboro, Ky. that earned a spot into the Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior.

The Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior will begin Wednesday with the first wave of first-round tee times running from 7:30-9:09 a.m., off the Nos. 1 and 10 tees and the second wave of first-round tee times running from 11:45 a.m. — 1:24 p.m. off the Nos. 1 and 10 tees at Bellefonte Country Club.
