The Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program began in 2003 with only 12 recipients. Just four years later, the AJGA has assisted 128 junior across the country. Rolex Watch signed on as the inaugural Founding Partner to the ACE Grant program and in 2007, Polo Golf is joining Rolex Watch as a Founding Partner.
During the past season, the ACE Grant program provided financial assistance to 60 junior golfers, helping them compete in 162 tournaments and 57 qualifiers. To continue combating the costs of playing a national junior golf schedule for players without the financial resources, the AJGA will begin accepting applications February 1 for the 2007 season.
With Rolex and Polo Golf's support, the AJGA and other supporters hope to help all deserving junior golfers who have the skill but not the financial resources to participate in competitive junior golf.
To be considered for the ACE Grant, all candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Candidates must be between the ages of 12-18 and a current AJGA member
- Candidates must clearly establish their need for financial assistance
- Candidates must provide supporting documents in order to verify their financial standing

All candidates who satisfy the above requirements are eligible to apply for the ACE Grant. Login to the Player Center to complete the online application. Once the online application and required IRS documents are received, the ACE Grant Committee will select those who qualify for the program and determine the amount of assistance for which they are eligible. This is a need-based grant; grants will be awarded to qualified applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. Recipients must still gain entry into an event based on their own merits through the AJGA Performance Based Entry process.
