Rule 18: Ball at Rest Moved

Happy Thanksgiving from the AJGA! Next week the AJGA will travel to Sea Island, Ga., for the Polo Golf Junior Classic. Approximately 160 of the world’s best juniors will be tested by two difficult golf courses and even tougher playing conditions throughout the week. This will be the AJGA’s third trip to Sea Island for the Thanksgiving week event and you can always count on windy conditions facing the players. It is common to have wind gusts of up to 30 mph during the week and with very few trees on the courses to protect the players, it takes patience and perseverance to survive. With windy conditions come many rules questions with regard to when a ball is at rest. Here are some tips so you avoid incurring a penalty under these conditions.
