AJGA Alums Earn Tour Cards
A host of former AJGA players recently earned their PGA TOUR cards by finishing in the top-20 on the Nationwide Tour’s 2004 money list.

Headlining the group is Ryuji Imada, who was named the Rolex Junior Player of the Year in 1995. Imada’s career highlights include one victory and two other top-three finishes.

Other former AJGA stars to earn their tour cards were Kevin Stadler and Hunter Haas, sons of current and former PGA TOUR players Craig Stadler and 2004 Ryder Cup participant Jay Haas. Also claiming spots on the 2005 PGA TOUR were Jimmy Walker, D.A. Points, James Driscoll, Scott Gutschewski and Franklin Langham.

Pressel Continues to Amaze
Morgan Pressel of Boca Raton, Fla., added to her legendary status as one of the greatest junior golfers of all-time by shattering both the single-round and tournament records at the Florida Class 1A State High School Golf Championship on November 4.

Pressel fired a final-round 10-under-par 62 at the PGA Village Dye Course, claiming her second straight state championship. The 62 was three shots better than the previous record set in 1993 and tied during this year’s championship. Even more impressive was her tournament total of 128, which broke the previous record of 137 set by two-time Rolex Junior Player of the Year Beth Bauer in 1998.

World Golf Hall of Fame and The R&A to Develop New Exhibit
A new exhibit highlighting the history of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, its role as a governing body and the history of the British Open will open this month at the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Fla. The exhibit will feature a replica of the famous Swilcan Burn Bridge with a diorama of the Old Course at St. Andrews serving as a backdrop, as well as extracts from the first 100 years of the Rules of Golf.

This marks the first time that the two organizations have collaborated on an exhibit. For more information on the exhibit and the World Golf Hall of Fame, please visit www.worldgolfhalloffame.org.
