Get Ready for the AJGA Fundraising Challenge
Can your region be the winner?

By Kathryn Richardson
Development Coordinator

Much like the East and West battle for the Canon Cup, the five regions – Southeast, South Central, Midwest, Northeast and West – are now battling for the most loyal AJGA friends.

Issued by Beth Reuter, Southeast Regional Director, the Fundraising Challenge is a means to further the competitive spirit and increase overall involvement in the campaign by our parents, volunteers and friends.

“My ultimate goal is to lead the Southeast to victory as the top donating region,” said Reuter, who left the South Central region earlier this fall. “Leaving the region where I was closely involved with so many tournaments was a tough decision, but I am excited for the new opportunities here in the Southeast where the membership base is nearly the largest of all the regions.”

Derrick Farnham gladly accepted the challenge as he recently moved from the Northeast to the West. “With more members in my region than any other, I stand a good chance of winning this challenge strictly based on the numbers.”

Still settling into their new roles, Northeast Regional Director John Dolan and South Central Regional Director Matt Larson were not available for comment. Lee Pinchouck, Midwest regional director was too busy to comment; we can only assume he is out in the neighborhoods of Chicago soliciting donations and more participation in this campaign. As the only Regional Director located in his region, many speculate the odds are in his favor because he is getting up close and personal with our Midwest AJGA friends.

Help your region win the Fundraising Challenge!

More important than your gift level is your participation. Every gift matters and does make a difference. Please click here to make a donation online and help lead your region to victory.

Your donation in the Fundraising Campaign will benefit the Achieve Your Goals Campaign which secures the financial future of the AJGA and funds programs like the ACE Grant and Alumni Program.

Two years ago, Bob Miller, AJGA chief advancement officer, charged the AJGA staff members to support the ACE Grant program by asking them to pledge a portion of their personal resources to the Achieve Your Goals Campaign. The AJGA Board of Directors and staff responded with 100% participation. Won’t you join the staff in supporting the AJGA’s future for junior golfers across the country?
