New Polo Golf Rankings Web site Unveiled

The Polo Golf Rankings Web site got a facelift last month. The new Web site has extra features and a completely redesigned front page. Now included are pictures and information concerning the top-five boys and girls. Also, there is detailed information concerning upcoming events that will count for the Polo Golf Rankings and there is easily accessible archived rankings. AJGA Golfers Make Waves in National Events

Kristen Park of Buena Park, Calif., won the Kathy Whitworth Invitational March 13 after shooting a 1-under-par 141 tournament total. Park, 14, earned the victory by one shot over Isabelle Lendl of Bradenton, Fla., Kristina Wong of Bradenton, Fla., and Kimberly Kim of Pahoa, Hawaii.

Peter Uihlein of Bradenton, Fla., won the Terra Cotta Invitational April 22 after shooting a 67-71-67–205 tournament total. He bested the field by eight shots. Other juniors also finishing in the top five were Patrick Reed of Baton Rouge, La., Arnond Vongvanij of Bradenton, Fla., and Bud Cauley of Jacksonville, Fla.

AJGA Juniors Named to World Junior Team

Four AJGA juniors were named to the World Junior Team last week. Spencer Cole of Greer, S.C., Russell Henley of Macon, Ga., Andrew Putnam of University Place, Wash., and Steve Ziegler of Broomfield, Colo., will all take part in the 2007 World Junior Golf Team Championship held June 19-22 at Chukyo Golf Club in Toyota City, Japan.
