New Low Final Round Award a hit at AJGA events
By Rob Coleman

Even when that first-place trophy is out of reach, AJGA players always have something to shoot for in the final round.

In addition to winning the Mizuno Junior at Chateau Elan, Vicky Hurst also captured the Low Final Round Award.
Over the years, the “Low Final Round Award” has been among the AJGA’s most coveted prizes. That is certainly the case in 2006, thanks to Titleist and Scotty Cameron.

Titleist has created a limited edition Scotty Cameron putter head cover – only 200 were created – embroidered with the AJGA logo, to be awarded to the boy and girl in 2006 who fire the lowest final round at each AJGA event. In the event of a tie, more are awarded.

The head covers are made in four distinct styles: black, navy, pink and white, with AJGA logos stitched in varied arrangements.

“This award is particularly special, because there is only one way to get one,” said Stephen Hamblin, AJGA Executive Director. “It adds a unique element to AJGA tournaments, and we thank Titleist for making this wonderful idea possible.”
