Rule 19: Ball in Motion Deflected or Stopped
I was playing in a golf tournament last week and my fellow competitor played a chip shot that was hit too hard and ran over the green. The ball was about to hit my golf bag, but I ran and moved my bag before it hit it. As a result of the ball not hitting my bag, the ball kept going and rolled out of bounds. My fellow-competitor argued that I should be penalized for moving my bag and he should be able to play his ball from where my bag was. Is this correct? |
