the West girls with 658 points is Rolex Junior Player of the
year Paula Creamer of Pleasanton, Calif. After picking up
wins at the Heather Farr Classic and the Lessing’s AJGA
Classic, the three-time first team Rolex Junior All-American
took runner-up honors at the Abilene-Reporter-News/
Lawrence Hall Abilene Junior and the McDonald’s Betsy
Rawls Girls Championship in 2003.
In addition to her 17 national titles, Creamer recently placed
second at the Shoprite LPGA Classic and tied for 13th at the
U.S. Women’s Open, earning her low amateur honors at
the event. She is ranked No. 1 in the Golfweek/Titleist
Performance Index.

Behind Creamer in Canon Cup points is Jennie Lee of Huntington
Beach, California. Contributing to Lee’s 603 point total
are first-place finishes at the 2003 True Temper Junior Open,
the 2003 Polo Golf Junior Classic, and the 2004 MCI Junior
Heritage. The two-time Rolex Junior All-American also carded
second-place finishes at the 2003 Westfield Junior PGA Championship
and the 2004 Heather Farr Classic.
Amanda Blumenherst of Scottsdale, Ariz., joins her Canon Cup
teammates with a total of 553 points. Blumenherst captured
four wins in 2003 and comes to the tournament after claiming
back-to-back titles at the 2004 AJGA Southwestern Junior and
the PING Indianapolis Junior. The two-time Rolex Junior All-American
has had an impressive 20 top-10 finishes in her AJGA career.
Esther Choe of La Quinta, Calif., finishes right behind Blumenherst
in Canon Cup points with a total of 515. The honorable mention
Rolex Junior All-American captured her first AJGA crown at
the 2003 I.R.I. Golf Group Arizona National Junior. Additionally,
she placed seventh at the 2003 True Temper Junior Open and
has faired well this season with three top-five finishes including
a tie for runner-up honors at the Lennar Junior at Mission
Hills.
Taylor Leon of Dallas comes to Canon Cup with 491 points.
A second-team Rolex Junior All-American, Leon placed first
at the 2003 I.R.I Golf Group Oakridge Junior and earned runner-up
honors at the 2003 Justin Leonard/Deloitte Junior Team Championship
with teammate Paula Creamer. More recently, Leon captured
the crown at the 2004 AJGA Lubbock Junior presented by United
Supermarkets & Market Street. Leon has 13 career top-five
finishes in AJGA events and is ranked in the top 20 of the
Golfweek/Titleist Performance Index.
Angela Park of Torrance, Calif., ranks sixth in Canon Cup
points among the West girls with 468 points. Park, a second-team
Rolex Junior All-American, captured her first AJGA win at
the 2002 Nike Golf Junior at Midland and since then has added
11 top-five finishes in AJGA events. Most recently, Park,
who is ranked in the top 10 of the Golfweek/Titleist
Performance Index, took runner-up honors at the Heather Farr
Classic and the Rolex Tournament of Champions.
Tiffany Joh of San Diego, joins the West team with 408 points.
Off to a great start this year, Joh carded back-to-back wins
at the Las Vegas Founders Junior Golf Championship and the
Lennar Junior at Mission Hills before posting a top-five finish
at the Rolex Tournament of Champions. Joh also took runner-up
honors at the 2003 Las Vegas Founders Junior Golf Championship
and the 2003 PING Phoenix Junior Championship, an honor she
shared with fellow Canon Cup teammate Angela Park. Ranked
in the top 10 by the Golfweek/Titleist Performance
Index, Joh has 11 career AJGA top-five finishes.
Lauren Espinosa of Hickory Creek, Texas, rounds out the top
eight for the West girls with 365 points. A second-team Rolex
Junior All-American, Espinosa recently captured the title
at the OSSO Junior at Oak Tree, bringing her career AJGA wins
to three. She has carded three additional top-five AJGA finishes
this year and has a career total of 11 top-five AJGA finishes.
Sydney Burlison of Salinas, Calif., joins the West girls as
a captain’s pick for the event. Ranked in the top 15
of the Golfweek/Titleist Performance Index, Burlison
has performed very well this year, carding a top-10 finish
at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship and a top-five finish
at the Rolex Tournament of Champions. The 2008 graduate has
two additional AJGA top-10 finishes including a tie for sixth
at this year’s Heather Farr Classic held over Easter
Weekend.
Allison Goodman of San Diego, makes her first Canon Cup appearance
as a captain’s pick. Goodman captured her first AJGA
win in 2003 at the Marshallia Ranch Junior Classic after posting
a top-five finish at the event in 2002. She also took runner-up
honors at the 2003 AJGA Boyne Highlands Junior. This year,
Goodman has carded two top-10 AJGA finishes, including a tie
for 10th at the prestigious Rolex Tournament of Champions.
