Investing
in Golf's Future |
The
AJGA Annual Fund |

A
young man receives financial aid to play in an AJGA event
and earns a college golf scholarship. A young woman makes
contacts through a junior-am and uses those contacts to get
a summer internship. A junior plays competitively for the
first time and learns about integrity and accountability…These
are stories we hear every day at the AJGA.
Although we work hard to help them happen, the real reason
experiences like these are possible is because of the generous
support we receive every year.
Each and every fall, the AJGA undertakes one of its most important
and challenging initiatives of the year, the Annual Fund.
Running from September through the end of the year, this unrestricted
giving campaign allows us to fund important programs and provide
our membership with many opportunities.
While the AJGA has many generous sponsors, a significant portion
of our budget comes from the support of our donors. Annually,
roughly 63 percent of our budget is comprised of sponsorships
and individual donations. While the support of the Annual
Giving Campaign specifically helps the AJGA build our Strategic
Resources.
This year’s campaign is one of our most ambitious to
date with a goal of $150,000. Although this goal is lofty,
it is attainable with your support. Many of you will receive
letters and phone calls in the coming months explaining in
more detail how your support helps the AJGA continue our traditions
of:
- Reinforcing strong character and integrity for our juniors
- Providing disadvantaged juniors with the opportunity to
earn college exposure
- Introducing juniors to a nationally competitive junior golf
experience
- Providing opportunities for juniors to showcase their talents
- Launching the careers of talented young AJGA interns and
employees
Even if your son or daughter no longer plays with us or did
not play this year, I hope you will consider supporting our
Annual Fund effort. The AJGA offers many things to many people;
our junior golfers, our parents past and present, our friends,
coaches and our staff.
I encourage you to read the letters and speak to our employees
when they call to learn how you can partner with the AJGA
to invest in the future of junior golf. If you would like
to make a donation, please visit www.ajga.org/donations.
All contributions are fully tax-deductible.
Thank you in advance and we look forward to your partnership!
