Rule 27: Ball Lost of Out of Bounds; Provisional Ball
Rule 28: Ball Unplayable
While playing golf with my family on vacation last
week we came across a situation that I could not explain. My
dad hit his tee shot towards the left trees. He announced he
was going to play a provisional and hit his next tee shot in
the fairway. We all went into the trees to look for the ball
and after about two minutes of searching we found it in the
middle of a thorn bush. My dad wanted to take an unplayable
and play his provisional ball under a one stroke penalty. Can
he do this? |
