The Care for the Course campaign is an initiative of the American Junior Golf Association to further our mission by helping develop young men and women through service opportunities available at AJGA tournaments.
The golf courses on the AJGA tournament schedule are great partners of the AJGA and significantly contribute to the ultimate tournament experience for AJGA members. As partners of the AJGA, we want to ensure a long lasting relationship with their staff, board of directors and membership. Our mission is to leave an AJGA tournament golf course in better shape then when we arrived. This is not always easy to do with 84 - 144 juniors playing the golf course four days in a row.
The Care for the Course Campaign encourages juniros participating in the program to donate one hour of their time during the event to help fill divots, fix ball marks or generally clean up the course. This time is designated on the tournament information sheet and made available to all tournament participants.
This program requires you to participate in the Care for the Course party for each AJGA tournament you play in. Please be sure to register online for this program and check in with the tournament director at each event. The tournament director will be responsible for logging your hours in this part of the Leadership Links program.
A thank you letter and acknowledgement of your participation will be sent to you in the fall.
