Golf-A-Thon Leadership Links Center
AJGA members secure pledges from individuals and corporations for the amount of holes they can play in one given day. A golf-a-thon can be conducted at any time of year. Money raised through this program will support a local charity chosen by the junior as well as the AJGA's youth development programs that support our mission by developing young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships. All juniors will be acknowledged on the scoreboard of AJGA tournaments. Since juniors are soliciting pledges from family, friends and local business they are responsible to report an accurate number of holes played during their golf-a-thon. $1 per hole x 100 holes = $100 dollars x 25 pledges = $2,500 Goal is to raise $500 per junior Charity Dollars will be split in the following manner, assuming the $500 goal has been met: Junior Golf Charity: 50% of proceeds will be distributed to the local charity of the junior’s choosing 100% of all money donated will support the charities, no administration fees apply. Non Junior Golf Charity: 40% of proceeds will be distributed to the local charity of the junior’s choosing 100% of all money donated will support the charities, no administration fees apply. Juniors are responsible for the collection of all pledges and one time donations. How the program works:
