Overview
Leadership Links is a program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
Juniors are able to choose from various volunteer opportunities and find one that best suites their needs and time availability. A choice in activities includes fundraising for local charities, volunteering hours and writing thank you letters. Juniors may sign up for multiple Leadership Link Programs. Here is an overview of the programs available: Birdies for Charity: Secure pledges for each birdie you make in competitive tournament rounds. Golf-a-thon: Play as much golf as you can in one day, securing funds along the way. Recognition for juniors participating in Birdies for Charity and Golf-a-thon include:
Pen to 10 for Charity: A letter writing campaign for charity (all tools provided by the AJGA) Volunteer Locally: Find a local organization that needs your support. The AJGA can help. Recognition for juniors actively participating in Pen to 10 for Charity and Volunteer Locally include:
Thankful Hearts Campaign: A letter-writing campaign to thank those who make the AJGA experience possible. Care for the Course Campaign: Help the AJGA keep the golf courses beautiful at each event you play. Recognition for those juniors actively participating will receive a thank you letter and acknowledgement of participation from the AJGA |
