Linking juniors to service opportunities

Volunteer Locally

Leadership Links Center

One of the most important traditions of the game is giving back through volunteering hours with a particular organization or group. As a junior golf organization, we highly encourage our juniors to give back to other junior golf organizations in their area. Although volunteering with junior golf charities is encouraged, juniors may log their hours for any charitable organization they donate their time to.

  1. Register the program(s) you plan to volunteer for.
  2. Start volunteering your time and talent with the organization(s).
  3. Make sure to log your hours for each organization for the 2010 calendar year.

Juniors with over 10 hours of logged community service will receive the following recognition:

  • Application to USGA-AJGA Presidents’ Leadership Award
  • Letter of recommendation by AJGA Board of Trustees
  • Acknowledgement on AJGA scoreboard
  • Thank you letter from the AJGA Executive Director
  • Thank you letter and acknowledgement of participation from the AJGA
