AHEAD

AHEAD HEADGEAR, “The Official Headwear of the AJGA,” has been an Official Partner since 2003. AHEAD Branded Headgear is the exclusive supplier of all AJGA tournament headwear, and annually supplies more than 22,000 hats to players, volunteers, Junior-Am participants, parenst and friends of the AJGA.


FOOTJOY, the No. 1 Shoe and Glove in golf, is also “The Official Footwear of the AJGA.” FootJoy is the exclusive provider of staff footwear and weather gear, and has supported the AJGA since 1995.

FootJoy is the title sponsor of the prestigious FootJoy Invitational in Greensboro, N.C., and champions of the exclusive event are awarded a tournament exemption into the Wyndham Championship, which is annually held in August.

FootJoy is also the proprietor of FootJoy Live Scoring, held at all AJGA Invitationals, which allows AJGA parents, friends, supporters and college golf coaches immediate access to results. With FootJoy Live Scoring, follow the action at ajga.org or via PDA at ajga.org/pda. In 2009, FootJoy Live Scoring received 7.58 million page views.



GGGA

GARY GILCHRIST GOLF ACADEMY, a full-time signature golf instruction program located at Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., and Arroyo Grande, Calif., began as an Official Partner of the AJGA in 2009. The partnership features an endowment of an Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant and the naming rights to the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Series, which will provides juniors ages 12-15 access to national competitive golf opportunities.


HP the world’s largest technology company, has supported the HP Scholastic Junior All-America Team since its inception in 1988. The HP Scholastic Junior All-American selections are based on grade-point average, class rank, SAT/ACT/PLAN/PSAT Scores, community service, golfing ability and writing skills.

Additionally, HP supports the HP Boys Championship at Carlton Woods, an event on the AJGA schedule since 1987 and supported by the technology company since 2003. The longest-running, all-boys Invitational on the AJGA schedule, the HP Boys Championship at Carlton Woods features an impressive list of past champions, including college and professional stars such as Rickie Fowler, Morgan Hoffmann, Jim Furyk, David Duval and Tiger Woods.

HP currently is in the process of endowing an ACE Grant, provides technology upgrades to the Association on an annual basis, and has also been involved with the AJGA’s Care for the Course initiative since 2008.

 


PING, a golf club manufacturer with the goal to help golfers play their best, has been an AJGA supporter since 1990 and began supporting the PING Phoenix Junior in 1991. The PING Invitational, one of the AJGA's top invitationals, will celebrate its fifth year at Karsten Creek Golf Club and the biennial PING Junior Solheim Cup will be held in Ireland in 2011.

PING, an Official Partner since 2002, provides the PING college golf guide to AJGA members, sponsors PING College Golf Signing Day and in 2009, became "The Official Bag of the AJGA.” In 2010, PING will give golf bags to all AJGA champions.



THE THUNDERBIRDS, a civic organization developed to promote the City of Phoenix through athletics, has supported the Thunderbird International Junior since 2000. Held on Grayhawk Golf Club's Raptor Course, the event features an invitation-only field of eligible AJGA members from the previous year's Rolex Junior All-America Teams and select international champions. Since 2004, The Thunderbirds organization has donated more than $219,000 back to local golf charities in honor of AJGA junior golfers.

 

Winn Grips

WINN GRIPS, a golf industry leader in high-performance golf grip technology, became an Official Partner in 2009. In 2010, Winn Grips will sponsor the Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club, will remain the Preferred Grip of the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Series, will provide grips and grip services to AJGA members at select tournaments and will debut the Winn Junior Cup Challenge, a tournament series featuring select events across the country.

 


GOLFWEEK, America's Golf Newspaper, continues its support of the AJGA as an official media partner in 2010 by reporting scores from every AJGA tournament and providing a one-year subscription to each AJGA member. Golfweek first began its subscription service to members in 1994 and supported events for 12 years (from 1995-2006).



GolfWorld

Golf World, an award-winning weekly golf publication, became an Official Media Partner of the AJGA in 2009. The partnership includes title sponsorship of two preseason events, monthly publication of the Polo Golf Rankings, distribution of Golf World to all AJGA members and in-kind advertising for the Association and its sponsors.

ACE

The Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program provides financial assistance to junior golfers who wish to play in AJGA events. Its goal is to give top-flight golf opportunities to young golfers regardless of financial resources. This program helps to fulfill the AJGA’s mission of developing young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
