PRIVATE HOUSING: As another housing option, players and their parents may request private housing for the event. Typical requests may be for those juniors traveling without parents to the event. Please contact Tournament Director Sean Riley at sriley@ajga.org if you need or are seeking more information on private housing. This option is first come, first serve, and is not guaranteed, so please contact the Tournament Director as soon as possible.

In order to fully process your request for private housing, you will be sent information via email to complete. The AJGA will be facilitating background checks of all possible housing options as a way to ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere during the event. These checks come with a $50 non-refundable, administrative fee. Upon your request for private housing, the AJGA will bear the expense of the check up-front, and thus, the fee is non-refundable as the process cannot be reversed or withdrawn.

AIRPORT/GROUND TRANSPORTATION: Players may fly into General Mitchell International (MKE) which is located 40 minutes from The Legend at Bristlecone.

National Car Rental, the Official Car Rental of the PGA TOUR and now the American Junior Golf Association, provides AJGA members and their families with discounted fixed rates on all car categories. Enroll free in the Emerald Club to earn free days or make a reservation directly from the AJGA Web site. For more information or to book a reservation, visit National Rental Car.

PRACTICE ROUND: The tournament practice round will be tee times from 11 a.m. – 3:21 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, at The Legend at Bristlecone. Players may sign up for starting times in the AJGA Players Center. All players will be asked to carry their own bag or utilize a push cart during the practice round.

REGISTRATION: Players Registration will be held Tuesday, July 13, from 7:30 - 8 p.m. at The Legend at Bristlecone. Players unable to register at this time MUST notify Tournament Director Sean Riley prior to July 13 at (678) 617-2420. Players Registration is MANDATORY. Players who fail to attend Players Registration without prior approval from the Tournament Director may forfeit their tournament gifts. Approval to miss Players Registration will be granted only in extreme circumstances. An individual absent from this event because they are not staying at the host hotel, are staying in private housing for the week, or have a long commute does not constitute acceptable circumstances.

AJGA OPEN HOUSE: During Players Registration the AJGA invites all players and parents to an Open House at The Legend at Bristlecone. The AJGA Open House will be an opportunity for players and their parents to hear a few words from the key people responsible for making the McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends possible and ask any questions of the AJGA staff. Light food and drinks will be served at this time compliments of the tournament committee

SCORING ON THE NINES (FOOTJOY LIVE SCORING): Follow the tournament live online by clicking on Live Scoring and McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends.

TOURNAMENT TEE TIMES: Tee times for the first and second round will be 7 a.m. – 12:51 p.m. off the No. 1 tee at The Legend at Bristlecone. The tournament field will be cut to a minimum of 40% of each field (boys and girls), following the second round. Exact numbers will be posted at the tournament. The final-round pairings will be available Thursday, July 15 at 8:30 p.m. Tee times for Friday, July 16 will be 7:30 – 9 a.m. off Nos. 1 and 10 tees. A tie for the championship will be decided by a sudden-death playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. As inclement weather may delay play, please make your departing flight as late as possible. The AJGA will play until dark if necessary to complete the tournament. Keep in mind that General Mitchell International (MKE) is approximately 40 minutes from The Legend at Bristlecone.

CODE OF CONDUCT: All AJGA participants are expected to abide by the AJGA Code of Conduct. Violations of the Code of Conduct will be dealt with based on the severity of the misconduct.

OTHER INFORMATION: •The new USGA condition of competition requiring a player’s clubs conform to the groove and punch mark specifications as detailed in the 2010-2011 Rules of Golf is NOT in effect for AJGA competitions.
•Golf carts and spectator carts are not allowed without a Government issued permanent handicap placard.
•Caddies are not permitted in AJGA tournament play.
•Proper attire is required at all times and failure to comply may result in disqualification (see Dress Code Section of Code of Conduct).
•Push carts (non-motorized) are approved for use by all players as permitted by the host facility. Players are responsible for providing their own push carts.
•No headphones may be worn in AJGA competition

NO SHOW POLICY: Because the AJGA continues to receive far more applications than it has spots available for in its events, the AJGA is adopting the following policy:

If you find that you cannot compete in the McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legend, you must withdraw from the event by contacting the AJGA at (770) 868-4200 or the tournament headquarters at (678) 617-2420 prior to Players Registration. This allows the AJGA to replace you with an alternate. If you cannot compete and do not withdraw properly, you are considered a “no show,” and the following action will be taken:

1. If you have already been accepted for another event, you will be notified of your disqualification from that event.
2. If you have not been accepted in another event at this time, your next application will not be considered.
3. If this offense is repeated, you will not be allowed to play in any more events for the remainder of the year.
