Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series Criteria
Entry into 2006 Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series events will not be based on a resume as it has been in the past. All players, regardless of status, may participate in a maximum of five Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series events. The year-end Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series Championship does not count toward that maximum. To be eligible for any of the Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series events, a player must be between 12-15 years old throughout the duration of the event (practice round date through the final round).

Earning Entry Into Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series Events

Fully Exempt Status: Fully Exempt Status is earned with top finishes under the Performance Based Entry system.
Nike Junior All-Star Exempt Status: Nike Junior All-Star Exempt Status is earned by meeting the criteria below.
Tournament Exemptions: Can be earned through performance at the national, regional and state level.
Nike Junior All-Star Tournament Exemptions: Can be earned through select state level junior tours.
Performance Stars: Can be earned through performance at the national, regional and state level. Four Performance Stars earn one Tournament Exemption for boys. Three Performance Stars earn one Tournament Exemption for girls.
Tiebreaker: Remaining spots will be filled through the Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series tiebreaker.

Filling the Fields
Fields will be filled based upon the following priority:

1. Players with Fully Exempt Status
2. Players with Nike Junior All-Star Exempt Status
3. Players with Tournament Exemptions
4. Players with Nike Junior All-Star Tournament Exemptions
5. Players with three (3) Performance Stars
6. Players with two (2) Performance Stars
7. Players with one (1) Performance Star

Breaking Ties
Ties at any level will be broken in the following manner:

1. Tournament Exemptions
2. Performance Stars
3. National Ranking (Junior Golf Scoreboard) - players who have yet to earn entry into a Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series event
4. Any player from the state of the event who has yet to earn entry into a Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series event
5. Any players from a bordering state of the event who has yet to earn entry into a Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series event
6. National Ranking (Junior Golf Scoreboard)
7. Proximity to the event

Boys: Top-5 Finish, 2006 Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series event

Girls: Top-3 Finish, 2006 Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series event

The following Tournament Exemptions and Performance Stars may be earned through play in the Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series to assist players in gaining entry into AJGA Open tournaments through Performance Based Entry:

Boys: Champion 3 Tournament Exemptions
  Top 5 2 Tournament Exemptions
  Top 10 1 Tournament Exemption
  Top 33% 1 Performance Star
Girls: Champion 2 Tournament Exemptions
  Top 3 1 Tournament Exemption
  Top 33% 1 Performance Star

Boys Nike Junior All-Star Series Exempt Status Criteria
Must be between 12-15 years old throughout the duration of the event to be eligible for the Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series.

Girls Nike Junior All-Star Tournament Exemption Criteria
Must be between 12-15 years old throughout the duration of the event to be eligible for the Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series. Juniors that meet the below criteria will receive a tournament exemption into one Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series event.

• 2005, 2006 Florida Junior Tour Champions (13-15 division)

Important Notes

• Players who gain entry into a Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series event based upon Performance Based Entry status are not required to use a Tournament Exemption or Performance Stars to play in the event. A player's status will be retained and can be used to gain entry into an AJGA Open tournament.
• Players are limited to five Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series events per year. The year-end Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series Championship is an invitational and does not count toward that total.
• Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series events DO count toward the AJGA tournament maximum of FIVE.

Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings Eligibility

To be eligible to be ranked in The Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings, a player must meet the following criteria:

• Have competed in three multi-day stroke play tournaments within the last 52 weeks for which we have received the results and they are listed by the same name and hometown.
• Have their high school graduation year in their tournament record. Missing yours? Read the next paragraph.
• Still be in high school or prior to August 1st after graduation.
• Have competed in an age group that:

a. completes at least 36 holes
b. has a minimum of five (5) competitors that complete all scheduled rounds, AND
c. has played from a minimum of 4, 500 yards and not shorter than the forward most USGA rated tees.

The rankings are a work in progress and some names might be missing because we do not have a player's graduation date and/or we do not have results for them for the required minimum of three tournaments. Please e-mail staff@juniorgolfscoreboard.com with any questions.

The Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program provides financial assistance to junior golfers who wish to play in AJGA events. Its goal is to give top-flight golf opportunities to young golfers regardless of financial resources. This program helps to fulfill the AJGA’s mission of developing young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
