PERFORMANCE
BASED ENTRY
| Step
6: How Entry Into a Tournament Effects Your Status
Players
who are not Fully Exempt that gain entry into an AJGA
Open tournament will use one Tournament Exemption for
each tournament they gain entry into.
Example:
A player with a status of two Tournament Exemptions
and two Performance Stars will drop to one Tournament
Exemption and two Performance Stars upon entry into
an event.
Players
who gain entry with less than one Tournament Exemption
(two or three Performance Stars), because they do not
have a Tournament Exemption, will use any earned status
and drop down to their initial status received for
membership (two Performance Stars for 2012 graduates,
one Performance Star for all others).
Example:
A 2012 graduate with three Performance Stars would
drop to two Performance Stars (initial status) upon
entry into an event. A 2013 graduate with three Performance
Stars would drop to one Performance Star (initial status)
upon entry into an event.
Players
who gain entry with just their initial status (performance
stars received from membership) do not lose their initial
status, but do lose priority in the tiebreaker process
for future events. |
