AJGA In-House Internships

The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The Association is the largest organization of its kind with a membership of more than 5,000 juniors from 49 states and 30 foreign countries. In 2010, the AJGA plans to conduct more than 80 tournaments and 45 qualifiers across the United States. The purpose of the AJGA is to provide positive life experiences for junior golfers by giving them the opportunity to develop and showcase their competitive skills while setting high standards to preserve the integrity and traditions of the game. By remaining committed to this purpose, the AJGA has built a reputation of providing the best exposure vehicle for college golf scholarships.

DESCRIPTION:
The AJGA is looking for qualified applicants to serve as in-house interns. The interns will be stationed in our headquarters in Braselton, Georgia. We offer in-house internship opportunities in our Player Services, Communications, Finance and Sponsorship departments.

TYPICAL HOURS:
8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (40-hour work week)

CAREER ENRICHMENT:
There are countless benefits to participating in the AJGA Internship. You will meet and interact with many people at the AJGA. You will also come into contact with players and sponsors in the work you would be completing. In addition to the contacts made at the AJGA and outside as you work on projects, the internship also serves as a training ground for full-time employment with the AJGA. Of the current 58 full-time employees, 48 completed the internship. In order to be considered for full-time employment with the AJGA, interns must have completed or be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree.

SALARY:
$8.50 per hour
