After seeing my grandfather undergo chemotherapy in order to fight pancreatic cancer, I knew that I had to do something meaningful for other patients and families with pancreatic cancer. The National Pancreatic Cancer Association is very important to me, because it provides support to families and patients with pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers, because there are rarely any symptoms of the disease during the early stages, so it is often diagnosed in the fourth stage when the cancer has already metastasized. Pancreatic cancer is a particularly aggressive type of cancer due to the nature of the tumor cells, so only 7 percent of patients survive for five years after diagnosis. My grandfather inspired me to play golf in the first place and I would not the person or golfer I am today without his help. I hope that I can participate in the AJGA leadership links in order to promote greater awareness of pancreatic cancer and elevate the lives of families/ people who have pancreatic cancer.
The National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation exists to deliver unwavering support for patients and families fighting pancreatic cancer.
Your dollars will not only support the funding The National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, but also will impact other junior golfers as well through the ACE Grant program. Your contributions will help talented junior golfers with a desire to better their life through playing junior golf and earning a college golf scholarship. These juniors lack the financial resources to compete at the national level to gain exposure to these scholarships. They need our help as well. The scholarships these juniors earn through their play change the course of their life and the life of their future family.
My goal is to raise $6,000. Would you consider making a donation and making a difference?
