Since 1997, The First Tee has grown its network to deliver programs in all 50 United States and select international locations. First Tee — Triangle impacts the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
I find it an incredibly valuable program because it not only teaches children how to golf, but it also teaches them how to be good people through golf. From the Nine Core Values to the Healthy Habits, it teaches so many valuable lessons in the guise of learning about golf. I have been involved in The First Tee for around 4 years, and I have spent that whole time both advancing through the levels myself and volunteering for classes. I love helping coach children on how to play golf and how to better themselves through the sport. It's a pretty amazing experience! In addition, the coaches and volunteers are all wonderful people who bring so much joy and enthusiasm to everything that they do-- it is truly inspiring.
The United States Golf Association has partnered with the American Junior Golf Association and will match the donations I raise for any junior golf association, including the First Tee of Triangle.
Your dollars will not only support the funding of the First Tee of Triangle, but also will impact other junior golfers as well through the ACE Grant program. Your contributions will help talented junior golfers with a desire to better their life through playing junior golf and earning a college golf scholarship. These juniors lack the financial resources to compete at the national level to gain exposure to these scholarships. They need our help as well. The scholarships these juniors earn through their play change the course of their life and the life of their future family.
My goal is to raise $1,000. Would you consider making a donation and making a difference?
There are two ways to contribute - Click Donate Now
- You can make a one-time donation and your credit card will be charged now.
- Or, you can pledge a specific amount for every birdie or eagle I make. I will keep you up to date during the season and then contact you at the end to let you know how much you owe.
If you would like to send a check, please write the check to the American Junior Golf Association and make sure to include my name in the memo section. Please mail to:
